Colonel Potter arrived at the 4077th M*A*S*H in the September of 1952, not long after BJ. His family is a bit hard to explain ... they seem some what magical, as they change all the time. So I will do my best. In the begining he had a son, but then somehow his son turned into a daughter. Then his daughter-in law had a baby girl, who also changed later on into a boy. Col. Potters wifes name is Mildred and her photo always goes on the right hand side of his desk (he salutes her every morning). He only has 18 months until retirement, and then its back to Hannibal Missouri.

Potter likes to draw, usually horses which is his favourite animal. Radar gave Potter a horse, she was injured and he knew it was the only way he could get to keep her. So Sophie set up home at the 4077th.
