Major: Sidney Freedman ~ Serial Number: Not a clue!
Sidney used to be an MD, but changed fields. So now he is the well known Psychiatrist that visits the 4077th from time to time. Usually he comes round to play polka, but on occasions he has come on business, whether it be to help out Hawkeye or a wounded patient.
In "Dear Sigmund" Sidney was feeling down about a kid that "just listened to the voices". So he stoped by for a pick me up, which he got. He helped BJ play a joke on Frank and wrote a letter to Sigmund Freud the famous Shrink.
In another episode Sidney comes to the 4077th as a patient, he was doing follow up theropy in a foxhole when they started to be over run by Chinese. Sidney was welcomed with open arms for the 4077th had been indulging in all work and no play. During his stay certain events led up to him burning his pants in a bomb fire (I hope his wallet wasn't in them).
Sidney never signed his loyalty othe, which we find out when he meets the well and truly bonkers Colonel Flagg.
Sidney's home town is New York. He mentions a son, which we would assume is atleast a year or more old, as he removed a boil on his tocus (Which obviously he had to be there for). We see him proudly show BJ a photograph of his son, who just got his first tooth. Of course, BJ can't help himself and whips out a picky of his own daugther Erin. HEY! Can ya blame him? ~Sidney: "I'm not going out there without a bulletproof couch!"
